I've signed up for a quilting workshop next weekend. I knew that there was some prep work involved, but I didn't realize how much prep work. I needed to either purchase a couple jellyrolls or cut 80 x 2.5" strips. I need to make a dint in some of my scraps so I decided to start cutting from my stash. OMG where to I start? This pile is almost as tall as me. Yikes!
I don't even try to keep it under control. Maybe it's time to start?????
At least these are colour coded.
The plan is to press and cut and organize all day long. Wish me luck.
It is at times like these it would be nice to have a auto matic strip cutting machine.... I try to cut up my scraps as I cut out things. Bigger than 3 inch I leave as is... 2.5, 2, 1.5 and strings. Then in a set of plastic drawers I have. It comes in handy for string piecing and doing quick projects as well as quick hits of colour in a project. My mom thinks I am crazy! Have fun.
